Actor, Robert Shaw as grizzled shark hunter ‘Quint’ from the film, Jaws – 1975.

My interpretation of Robert Shaw started with a ball of wet clay on a board. My intention was to create an image that reflected his first reaction upon seeing the giant shark.

Although the character of Quint is physically strong and unyielding, his expression, which I have strived to capture in the sculpt, is my interpretation of an angst-ridden, tortured war veteran who is battling his own demons.
